Installation for other distros

Thanks very much to all users who are showing how much they like Cairo-Dock by creating packages and easy tutorials to install on your preferred distribution.
Thanks to them Cairo-Dock will become more and more popular in the GNU/Linux community, bringing new ideas, improvements and competences. We can't wait to see package/tutorial for Mandriva, Fedora and all the others !

In light of the amount of distros available, do not hesitate to edit the page to make it better

Arch Linux

There are three PKGBUILDs in the Arch User Repo that build the latest version available from SVN. They should be built in the order listed below; if you get build errors when updating cairo-dock-plugins-svn or cairo-dock-themes-svn, make sure you have updated cairo-dock-svn first!

Please note that the package are based on the SVN version of Cairo-Dock, so update often and make sure you keep an eye on the development section of the forum (forum SVN and Technical Discussion).

Basic
cairo-dock-svn
The most basic core package.

Plugins packages
cairo-dock-plugins-svn
Installs all items from the plug-ins directory on SVN. Individual plug-ins can fail the autoreconf, configure or make processes, without breaking the whole package build process. At the end of the makepkg process, you get a list of which items failed and which items were successfully built. When installing the package, if you do not have gnome-integration or xfce-integration on your system (ie. they did not build), you will also get a message telling you which build-deps you need in order to build this package with those plug-ins included.

Themes
cairo-dock-themes-svn
Install all themes available from the themes directory on SVN.
