First Steps

For that first Launch
From a terminal terminal :
cairo-dock &

or if you use Gnome Alt+F2 (Run Application)
just type cairo-dock and click Run

For Beryl User
you only see the dock on one of the face of the cube!
In case you launch Cairo-Dock at startup and you are using Berylau, you will have to use a litle script to delay the startup of the dock.

Create a file called launch-cairo-dock-after-beryl.sh, and copy/paste the following code in it:

#we wait 12 seconds so that Beryl gets ready (you may need more or less)
sleep 12
# the path of cairo-dock (may be different for you)
cairo-dock &

Make it executable
sudo chmod +x launch-cairo-dock-after-beryl.sh

And use that script to launch the dock at startup
