i have installed cairo-dock on my system, but there is no dock when i launch it. Only the workspace switcher appears. I am using Arch Linux with Gnome 3.22.1 (gnome-shell). I am using X not Wayland.
It works fine in a KDE session.
Here is the output when I start from a terminal:

couldn't find an appropriate visual, trying to get one without Stencil buffer

By the way, I tried both opengl and cairo options for drawing with no difference.
I also tried adjusting preferences, make always on top, reserve space etc. A space is reserved but it just shows the desktop behind. |
