The latest stable release is the *3.4.0* : How to install it here.
Note: We just switched from BZR to Git on Github! (only to host the code and your future pull requests)
skippy-xd is a standlone compozited window picker which reproduce the feature of expose like compiz.
It would be a great additions to the dock for having another solution to compiz. The dock could benefitiate from the project to re-introduce some of the lost features due to compiz upgrade.

Yes, it can be interesting but how can we detect that we can use skippy-xd. (I see that there is a daemon but how can we detect that it is launched? and how can we use it?)
When i mean integrated i mean take the code and insert it to the dock code to be able to have expose feature without compiz running and possible new feature with the dock (bring back the window thumbnail etc..) if fabounet understand how this all work.
If compiz was running we could use some of its power as well.
But its true that a first try could be on the applet show desktop. I should be able to put a define action on left click. I would just have to run skippy-xd with no daemon and voila.

Except that it's also interesting to let WMs manage their windows (and Compiz's exposé is visually a bit better than skippy-xd which doesn't need composite)
PS: it's a bit like the 'window preview' feature which should be something managed by the WM and not by the dock
Yep but due to different path of the projects if you introduce too much feature from the other project one day or the other they will break as you have no say on the other project development.
I know skippy-xd is not perfect but would be a good start to take some ideas out of this and transfer it to the dock.
EDITED they use compiz For example dockbarx has introduced window preview and i do not think they use compiz to do it.
