As i can not find any product that look good for me. I have finally decided to get my hands dirty.

I would like to build a sound player with a graphic interface with some cairo-dock magic into it.

I have decided to invest in a beagleboard xm to be my audio player. Maybe i will have to buy a proper USB sound card to have clear sound.

I am planning to get a samsung photoframe wich will be display the interface.

SO i have few question. How will i port my cairo-dock and doncky into an ARM card. Will i need to compile or create packages for cairo-dock ?

Is that going to be hard?

Hey!

It looks fun

If you want to use a development version which is not packaged by Ubuntu, you'll have to compile cairo-dock by yourself but it can be very slow
You can also use arm packages => https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cairo-dock (simply use Ubuntu repositories!)

Cairo-dock on a ARM based machine hum I might by a Dreamguru then

What kind of CPU is it ? I beleive that ubuntu only support ARM9 or something like that when these type of board tend to be
ARM5 (kirkwood)

but that would be cool
