I have created a subdock in my main dock.
On mouse-over, the expanded subdock appears above the main dock, as expected.
However, if I then move my mouse upwards to reach the contents of the expanded subdock, the expanded subdock often disappears before I can get the mouse to it.
This tends to happen when the mouse is moved slowly.
I have played with the timing options for subdock appearance, etc, but these do not solve the problem.
Attempt to insert an image of my subdock:

The above problem is more noticeable when attempting to drag a new firefox url into a stack within the expanded subdock. |

Thank you for this bug report!

I think you can drop the file onto the main icon, not necessarily inside its sub-dock.
but that's a problem anyway, thanks for reporting it.
Edit: just noticed that you need to go into the sub-dock anyway, since you placed the Stacks inside one |

matttbe : I confirm it and this bug can be a bit annoying.
Yes, it destroys what otherwise would be a fluid user interface.
