Looked through the forums and didn't see this particular issue, or as I only read/speak English, I may not have recognized it.
Cairo-Dock version: 2.1.3-9
OS: LinuxMint 8 Helena Main (32-bit distro based on Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic)
Desktop Gnome: 2.28.1
Linux Kernel: 2.6.31-14
OpenGL: Yes
Window Manager: Compiz w/Emerald
When using the clock applet in digital mode, setting the option "Display time in a 24-hour format?" to OFF (unchecked), the AM and PM section of the time is repeated twice - as in 12:46:35PMPM
See it here:

It is not a so-called "deal-breaker", merely annoying.
Thanks in advance for help or suggestions.

Hello,
Thanks for this bug report, it seems that a 'pm' or an 'am' is displayed by strftime only with some locales.
Should be fixed with the next commit in BZR (and next week on our 'weekly ppa' ) |

matttbe,
Thank you. I probably should have included that I am in US-Eastern timezone, etc.
I'll catch the next ppa.
BTW, I really like the dock!
and that guest was me, posted before registering.

mattbe,
I am curious about the status of this issue. Although the thread is marked resolved, the issue still exists even in the current beta [2.1.4-0beta1] under lucid. In fact, it has changed slightly. Now it displays digital time as, for example: 12:27:42 PMAM.

Thank you for testing!
@ fabounet : these files applet-digital.c/h aren't compiled but there is an '#include "applet-digital.h"' into 'applet-draw.c' |

Additional information:
The "AMPM", "AMAM" or "PMPM" error only occurs if the option to display seconds is checked with 24-hour clock unchecked. With no seconds being displayed, the AM/PM is correct in 12-hour mode. |

Update:
About 8 AM this morning local time my system performed an update which included the Cairo-Dock update from the PPA 2.1.4-0beta1-20100508-0ubuntu1~ppa0~lucid. This appears to resolve the problem.
Thanks for this great tool and your support.

fabounet : nice, thanks for testing it ! :)
Now that sufficient time has passed for AM to shift to PM, this is working correctly. As far as I am concerned, this seems to be fixed.
Again, Thank you! |
