@matttbe: When I said "make things easier" I meant that comparing with the previous versions of the instructions. Of course I agree with you in respect of the root availability. Anyway, this applet, since the beggining, was like that. It is preety straightforward for an application like Cairo-Dock, that provides an interface Dbus for applets in different languages, to expect that some of those languages do not come out of the box. Ruby is one of this cases. Therefore, root is the "solution" :¬) |

Guest : Great that does work now.
That applet is really nice, too bad the Wikipedia and Youtube doesn't do it for me.
Thanks for your work !

Hi,
Is there a way to specify icon for selected Search? Meaning icon for google, yt and so on? After doing a search I just have a list of same icon (being used from main icon on cairo-dock websearch)? This is best shown on page 1 of this topic - when magnyfing glass is being returned for all the searches.
Thanks! |

I will do that considering that there are some cases in which the result icon of the list is a thumbnail of the image returned from the search, e.g., ImageShack. Therefore, if the user did not "enabled the thumbnail for ImageShack, etc...", then the sub-icons list will show the engine's logo instead of the applet's icon. Also, if the result does not belong to a search engine in which we are able to thumbnalize the result, the applet will do the same as above, i.e., show the engine's logo. |

seems nice
you can maybe take a look at the Stack applet, which displays the favicon of the web pages that are inside the stack, if it can be of any help. |
