I have Cairo-Dock up and running and love it.

I am using Jaunty and installed by adding the repos in http://www.glx-dock.org/ww_page.php?p=Write%20an%20applet&lang=en

After looking at http://www.glx-dock.org/ww_page.php?p=Write%20an%20applet&lang=en I have failed to find generate-new-applet.sh

Can someone point me in the right direction of starting to create a plug in.

Many thanks.

You must install the dock from sources or with the script from Mav (much easier).
Take a look at the wiki

yep, install the SVN, it will give you :
- the development headers
- the generate-new-applet.sh script
- a lot of easy examples like logout or show-desktop

Many thanks.

Time to get a virtual machine set up for the task.
