Install SVN version You need to install SVN version to translate Cairo-Dock.
But you can post a new thread on forum in order to receive files to be translated.
Find po files Translation files are located into po folders.
If SVN version has been installed with Mav's script, folders should be located into /opt/cairo-dock_svn/cairo-dock/po /opt/cairo-dock_svn/plugins/*/po/
Files to translate Sentences to be translated are into .pot files, save files according to your language as below es.po (for spanish), it.po (for italian), etc...
Translate You need to translate sentences between "" under msgstr => PLEASE RESPECT SYNTAX
For example :msgid "My english text"
msgstr "Your translation"
Especially, be very careful with few sentences having some C-style format, with "%s" or "%d" inside.
Also try to make your sentences fit the size of the config panels.
poedit is a very convenient soft to translated .po files. Install it with Synaptic, it will help you a lot !
Test it To test, you have to add your language in all LINGUAS files (in cairo-dock/po/ and in every plug-ins), compile (or use the Mav' script : From SVN) and restart Cairo-Dock
Send your translation Post a new thread on forum with all your po files.
To generate a zip file, you can do that:cd /opt/cairo-dock_svn/ # or what you have choose
zip cairo-dock/po/XX.po # change XX by your language
zip plug-ins/*/po/XX.po # change XX by your language
