Cairo-Dockon

Nvidia Karten

It's not new, it works!
Normally, it should work out of box with proprietary drivers.

A black background?
If you have this warning message when you launch Cairo-Dock from a terminal:
cannot find -lGL
try this command in another terminal
cd /usr/lib/ && sudo ln -s libGL.so.1 libGL.so

Another error?
If you have this warning message when you launch Cairo-Dock from a terminal:
NVIDIA: could not open the device file /dev/nvidiactl (Permission not allowed).
NVIDIA: Direct rendering failed; attempting indirect rendering.
It's maybe because your user isn't linked to the video group. With a text editor (gedit, nano, vim, kate, etc.) modify this file /etc/group :
sudo nano /etc/group
and add your user name on the video group :
video:x:XX:USER
(where XX is a free number (the last one + 1) and USER is your user name (e.g.: video:x:45:john).

Some icons of Cairo-Dock look ugly (or transparency)?
It's possible that after wake-up from suspend, an update of your video drivers of after having change the user of the session, a few icons look ugly.
Don't hesitate to confirm this bug there: http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=153132
