Some programs don't show on the Launcher List.
I often experience this and use an alternate method of finding my running apps. In view of your expressed appreciation of a report of one of my recent issues, I thought I would report on this one also. The problem might be something simple either on my end, or something that could be addressed in program updates.
A particular running apt that doesn't show is Haroopad. Can you give me some workaround steps to make these applications visible on the menu list when they are running?

I'm running:
Cairo-Dock Version 3.4.1 -- OpenGl
Ubuntu Desktop X64 version 16.04.1
Window Manager - Compiz
Desktop - Unity
The problem happens when I Open certain Applications, in this case, Haroopad.
By the way the wmctl program shows the running application. Here is a list of the output:
