Don't forget to read our very complete Wiki (www.glx-dock.org/ww_page.php) !
But don't be shy to post all your questions or bugs here !
However before you post a message on the forum and to speed up things, don't forget to include as much informations as you can (if it's possible ):- The version of Cairo-Dock ('cairo-dock -v' in a terminal).
3.4.99.alpha1- Your GNU/Linux distribution (Debian, Ubuntu, Fedora, etc.).

using OpenGL- Your Window manager (Compiz, Metacity, Kwin, Openbox, etc.).

Hi,
I am not sure whether to post a problem or a feature request.
My issues is that there are a number of places where transparency is affecting the usability and I can't find a way to turn it off. For example, panel tootips against a dark background are difficult to read. On one of my machines Gmenu opens up and is needlessly difficult to read. The switcher has a small number that is hard or me to see. (I am not sure of the cairo-dock version on my other machine. I am almost 80, so readability is important to me. I have been unable to find anything in the settings or elsewhere which would allow me to force opaque backgrounds. I can believe that many users find transparent backgrounds desirable, but not me.
I have used cairo-dock for years and find it essential. I have written several applets using Python that grace my screen every day. So I am a serious user and would appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks in Advance,
Don
