- The version of Cairo-Dock - 3.4.0
- Your GNU/Linux distribution - Mint 17.3 rosa
- using OpenGL
- Your Window manager - Muffin
- Your Desktop Environment - Cinnamon 2.8.8
Hi,
when workspace has no windows open, cairo-dock window automatically gets the focus. Then the system configured shortcuts don't work anymore.
Is there a way how to prevent cairo-dock to get the focus, or to somehow configure, that it will propagate keypresses that don't match any of his rules to the system?
I have already researched and found possible workaround via compiz rules (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1339646), but no luck for me as I use Muffin.
Also I considered Devil's pie tool (http://www.burtonini.com/blog/computers/devilspie), but it seems that there is no suitable action for my case.
I will appreciate your suggestions.

I have found a workaround:
In the system settings I have changed Window focus mode from Click to Mouse (System Settings -> Windows -> Behavior).
Windows will get focused when mouse hover on it. I you are ok with this behavior, then the Cairo-Dock stealing focus won't be problem anymore. |
