So, I'm using Zorin OS 10 Ultimate, and apparently, cairo-dock 3.4.1. I've successfully installed cairo-dock obvs :), and I've set it to be the default session manager on the login screen. The next logical step is to add a menu bar to replace the lost avant gard application menu, so that I can have my File, Edit, Bookmarks, et all in Firefox, and stuff.
I've got the default AWN Launcher on the right that didn't disappear when I made cairo-dock default, the Main Dock is on the bottom, wtih a dock on the right, and on the top. The right one, is the notification area-type dock, wtih logout, volume, network, etc. I'm hoping to make the top dock have an application on it that is perpetually opening when my current window is, say, Firefox, or Aimp3, or whatever, and will provide context-sensitive menus for whatever application is open and at the front of the window, at any given time.
Could you provide a link to some page, or some instruction as to how I can install, or add an application that works like that? My searches on the mighty internet have been unsuccessful in this endeavor, I'm afraid. :\
Update: By some fluke, I just NOW learned that hitting the Alt key will bring up Firefox's Menu Bar. However, I still would like to be able to add a Menu Bar of this nature to my Top Dock, so that all my applications menu bars will display on-the-fly, if possible. |
