I've linux site in asphostportal and I installed Glx-Dock , and now I would like to completely remove Unity and everything related to it, but I'd like to keep the programs, LightDM and Software Center.

Hello, I'm not sure what's the best way, but you'll have to change your desktop session used in LightDM.
Try to see if you can use the cairo-dock-session, or any other that would launch only what you need (xfce, lxdm...). |

ou can keep Unity interface introduced on your framework, on the off chance that you need close by both Cinnamon and MATE interfaces, yet it will be better in the event that you uproot it next to its segments to maintain a strategic distance from any conceivable mistakes amid the establishment procedure of both interfaces. To expel Unity interface from Ubuntu 14.10 and every one of its parts, run the accompanying summon in the terminal.
MATE is a fork from the first (and dead) Gnome x2 desktop, numerous clients used to like Gnome x2 yet since it was disengaged by GNOME group, another fork was made and it was the MATE venture with a specific end goal to proceed with its advancement. |
