Hello everyone
After searching this forum and many internet guides, I couldn't find the answer for what I'm looking for .
I firstly apologize if this question has already been posted (and I didn't find it) .
My setup : Cairo-Dock 3.4.1 with openGL -- xfce -- Korora 21 ( Fedora derivate ) .
My GOAL :
1) One bar on the left side of my screen containing ONLY launchers
2) One bar on the bottom of my screen containing only buttons for running applications , possibly un-grouped ( and a few other applets like volume and so on ) .
The first part is working : I disabled "Show Applications Currently open into this DOCK" under Behaviour ( sorry for my English, I'm translating from Italian version ) .
so my question is : Is there an applet or something that I can place in another panel containing only buttons for running applications , if possible un-grouped ???
Thanks for any help

Hello
Only the first maindock can show the taskbar, so you have to start with this.
- 1st Maindock : enable taskbar.
- 2nd Maindock : add launchers, and check on every one the option "do not bind the launcher with its window" (first hidden one in launcher conf)
First dock settings are in the global conf, but other maindocks have a dedicated menu entry to reach their conf.
I hope it helps. |

Thank you SQP
I completely missed this : " Only the first maindock can show the taskbar, so you have to start with this. "
Everything works as I needed !!! I can now completely remove XFCE panel .
Thanks Thanks Thanks

Marked as solved. |
