Hello and Hi.........
Em using ubuntu trusty (14.04 )
installed cairo-dock
the issue is i dont see an option like ...... On a login screen there is:
- Cairo-Dock (GNOME+Effect)
- Cairo-Dock (GNOME+No Effect)
- Cairo-Dock (with Unity Panel)
Only i see gnome with unity or something like that..
before some how i saw the option but after reinstalling the os i lost it..
Am using acer aspire 5749,
is there any way to get it back ? or do i have to install any thing else ?
- i have attached a image that showing the cairo-dock ( gnome+effects ) from the login page.. but i want to enable it currently i dont have one like that......

You might have the same issue I had and are missing gnome-session

if that is the case then
sudo apt-get install gnome-session
should help |

Great...... I was wondering that how could this answer can change my badluck.... well done frog.. finnally i got it it was me posted as a guest sorry but am having so much pain inside my head but am here to thank you that finnaly its all done... now in the login option its like cairo dock ( gnome ), with no effects but this is all i need now login with this i can see the top right notification bar and top left menu panel .. thnkx fotr that and its solved..  |

I had the same exact problem so it was easy for me 
I know that Matttbe has since updated his script so that it will install it if required |
