I just installed CD 3.3.2 on Debian 7.5 and am experiencing the black background. I did RTFM. But I can't seem to find Cairo-Dock > Configure > Advanced Mode > System > Composition. I have 3 categories when in System: Animations speed, Refresh Rate, Connection to the Internet. |

Hello,
From version 3.3, this option is automatically enabled if no composite is running. If you still have this problem, I guess you have a problem with your video drivers (try without the OpenGL => cairo-dock -c), or you really need a Composite Manager (compton, xcompmgr, etc.) or you are using the packages available in Debian repos  (no, it should work but it's maybe better to add our repository  ) |

I am using xfce, and the non OpenGL. I'll try using compton or xcompmgr. thanks. |
