* The version of Cairo-Dock ('cairo-dock -v' in a terminal).

3.3.1
* Your GNU/Linux distribution (Debian, Ubuntu, Fedora, etc.).

Ubuntu 13.10
* Your Desktop Environment (Gnome, KDE, XFCE, etc.).

Gnome
* How you got the bug and therefore the answer to the question 'How can the bug be reproduced'.
    • If it's a crash, you can launch Cairo-Dock from a terminal ('cairo-dock') and post the output.
    • Any other details you think could be useful .

I only have to use the changer.
If i change the workplace i only get the background and can't do anything.
No Cairo-Dock, nothing.
I can only use the media keys (quieter, louder) and power button (with waiting for 60 seconds)

Hi,
do you have more than 1 workplace on startup ?
does the switcher applet displays the correct number of workplaces ?
does it displays the correct number of current workplace when you change with the keyboard ?

Ok, the problem is gone now.

Perhaps the weekly ppa fixed the problem...

PS:
Which keys can i use to change workplaces?

With Unity and Cairo dock with Ubuntu 12.04 i used CTRL+ALT+Arrow Key and CTRL+ALT+shift+Arrow Keys to move Programs, but it didn't work with Ubuntu 13.10

a priori, I don't think so; maybe Gnome-Shell auto-fixed itself

Which keys can i use to change workplaces?

usually it's ctrl+alt+arrow, but it depends on the Window Manager
I think GS uses a vertical layout, so try with up/down arrows

I don't know for GS, but if you're using Compiz, just run ccsm to configure it

I am experiencing similar problem which I posted separately. Configuring keyboard shortcut in "Viewport Switcher" | "Go to specific viewport" in compiz is useless in cairo-dock session. It does work in gnome session!

but is it the same Window Manager that is running in both sessions ?
in a gnome session, it's probably Gnome-Shell (GS) whereas in a cairo-dock session, it can be any WM (Compiz for instance)
the dock doesn't handle the keyboard shortcut for changing the workspace
