Cairo Dock: 3.1.1 with Unity (Ubuntu 12.04)
problem:
when i have a maximized window i can not use the dock with "hide if active window..."
If i minimize the window and behind this window there is a active windows i can't use the dock.
I don't know how to use the dock when there is a active window.
(I use two display with different resolutions (1600*900+1600*1200) and the Dock is on the main Display (1600*900))
€dit:
WTF?
Nothing changed and now the dock vanished in Thunderbird when it is maximized and in firefox it didn't vanish oO (When i write the original post it vanished in firefox too...)
€dit2:

Hi,
I don't think it's a good idea to put the dock on the left side of the right screen, because then it's in the middle of the screen !
and it's certainly not easy to call it back because you have to be exactly on the left edge of the right screen. |

Thats the way i used unity before i discover cairo-dock.
If i would use it like in the screenshot with the option "Reserve space for dog"
Therefore there is no need to call it back |

1. Use two displays (with different resolutions).
2. Choose the following options in the simple cairo-dock configuration:
The Dock must be on the right (/left) display.
Dock position have to be on the left (/right) side.
Dock visibillity: Reserve space for dock |

I confirm this bug: With two monitors, if the dock is on the right (/left) display and its position is on the left (/right) side with the visibility 'Hide if active window...", I can't access to the dock if a window is maximised. Maybe because the callback zone is too small or just at the wrong position?
And reserve space doesn't work well...
Here is my configuration:A - B: A=1366x768, B=1280x1024
If the dock is on the left display and on the bottom, no space is reserved. If it is on the right side, this is what I have:
No problem if the dock is on the top or on the left side because it seems it's not reserve space for the right screen but for all screens.
PS: note that my dock on the top is show (when the visibility option is set to 'Hide if active window...') if I hit the top of my other screen (with the option: hit the screen border to show the dock) |

ok, thanks
maybe you can take a loko at this bug ? I don't have 2 monitors so it's hard to test.
about the last part, I think it's normal in the current situation, cause it checks the whole screen border. But it's maybe better to only check the border of the screen where the dock is only |
