I'm running Mint 13 Mate with ati graphics and dual monitors. I want the dock on the left side of the right monitor. That's not a problem except that the "Reserve space for the dock" only works when it's in the left (primary) monitor. I can make my right monitor my primary monitor and it works, except that I have to go off the right side of the right monitor to get to the left one. Any ideas?

Hello and thank you for this bug report.

Which version of the dock are-you using? Can you launch it with this command
cairo-dock -l debug > ~/cd_log.txt
wait 2 or 3 seconds, quit the dock and post the content of this file on pastebin (e.g. on pastebin.com): cd_log.txt (available on your home directory)

Are you using Xinerama? Do you have the same problem with the 3.0.99 version (available on our 'Weekly ppa')? What are the resolutions of your screens.

Log is on pastebin at http://pastebin.com/BT63gRwQ

Version 3.0.0

I checked the Xinerama box in the CD settings if that's what you mean. I'm not using it in the ATI Catalyst. because it looks like it's meant to be used with twin view or for seperate x screens. I could be wrong about that, but the Xinerama box is grayed out when the monitors are set up as "Multi-display desktop".

I haven't 3.0.99. I'll give it a shot.

My resolutions are 1400x900.

One more thing: When I close CD, the message asking if I'm sure appears in the middle (half in one monitor & half in the other). Sometimes it seams like it doesn't appear. The dock stays visible but doesn't work, like the "Are you sure" menu is open, waiting for me to click it.

It seems the resolution is correct but I guess there is a bug with this zone (@fabounet: is it the same problem that we have with the callback zone?)

Same here. Is there any fix for this issue?

you can reserve space on the left side of the right monitor (or the right side of the left one as well).
That's just not possible for X to do that
