i think of building a cairo-dock based linux CD
i have little experience remixing ubuntu so it should be an ubuntu remix.
do you see that useful?
do you have any request for that remix?
does anybody volunteer to make some artwork? |

well, I'm curious to see what that could be
the integration could be perfect, however I think that with a Cairo-Dock session we already get something quite nice
@Matttbe: when installing under Ubuntu, do we manage to activate Dbus on Compiz ? this is the only thing I see that could possibly miss to the cairo-dock session. |

Hello,
Yes, it can be interesting
I already thought about that but I don't have enough time to maintain a Cairo-Dock based Linux CD.
But it shouldn't be hard to create this distribution and to maintain it. There are a few tools to easily and quickly do that. I guess we can just remove unity (only Unity but without a few daemon like indicator-messages, indicator-printer, indicator-sound and indicator-application). Also it can be interesting to enable Compiz's DBus plugin (even if it's enabled by the dock but a bit later) and add 'alacarte'. |
