I would like to ask, whether is it possible to get an applet to change the language, a language-changer. I write in two languages.
I like Cairo-dock (Gnome with effects) there is no panel like in Ubuntu, so such "language-changer" cannot be seen, even if its there. I don't want the panel, but only the Cairo Dock.
I use Cairo Dock 3.0. Very nice, indeed!!!
- GNU/Linux distribution is Ubuntu 12.04.
- Yes, using OpenGL.
- Window manager - Compiz.
- Desktop Environment - Gnome.

Hello and thank you for this comment!
Can you give us more details about this feature request?
- Do you want to change the language of the dock? You can launch the dock with this command:
env LANGUAGE=en_US:en cairo-dock
env LANGUAGE=it_IT:it:fr cairo-dock -c ## => in Italian and if the sentences are not translated, it will use the French translations
env LANGUAGE=fr_BE:fr:en cairo-dock -c
- Or the language of the system? You can open the gnome-control-center (Application Menu / System / Parameters) or use this command:
gnome-control-center language
- Or only the keyboard layout?
gnome-control-center region (then go to Layout tab)

gnome-control-center region did the trick Thank you.
In the earlier Cairo docks, it didn't work. Now it had come in the right hand smaller top dock. Lovely! |
