Hello all, I have kind of an odd question, is it possible to create a dock on the right side for open windows? right now i'm using one of the unity themes with 3 docks along the top w/the launcher dock on the left. I was hoping that minimized windows would minimized to a new dock on the right so they don't stack on the launcher. if anyone knows how to do this please let me know

All opened windows are grouped in the taskbar, there's no way to split them, only to choose which would be displayed. So I'm afraid the answer would be no, as there's no option to hide non minimized windows.
Note that this taskbar is only active on the first maindock, but you can keep this maindock "empty" by moving everything into another dock. |

SQP gave you the solution, but I think it's maybe better to keep the taskbar along the launchers, since once a launcher is started, it's part of the taskbar. |

ah, i see what you mean, okay i know this is kind of a silly way to do it, but what about putting the switcher into a dock all it's own, and adding each window to it's own desktop. kind of like unity does. i really dislike unity, but i kind of like that idea. is there any way to configure how many desktops the switcher displays or HOW it displays them? I'm sorry, i'm just not real familiar with cairo. |

I'm not sure to understand
the switcher applet can display all windows or all desktop or a list of the windows and desktops
you can also add/remove a desktop, but you can also do it from ccsm (you need to install it) |
