Hello. I have one issue during using cairo-dock. I have one top panel with "panel" look but when I add two separators i can separate this panel in three smaller panels, left, center and right so i decided to put some activators in left side panel. applet's in right side and in center put only icons of open windows but it don't work when i open new aplication sometimes icon show in left side of the panel, sometimes in right side. Is there any way to change that? I woudl like to icons of opened windows shows only in center of that panel
is there any way to do that? |

Hello,
Which version are you using? With the 2.4.0 release (or older), you can choose where to place of the taskbar by doing this: right click on the dock / Cairo-Dock / Settings / (advanced mode of the config panel) / Icons module => you've to automatically separate launchers/plug-ins/applications (= taskbar) and then, you can choose the position of the taskbar.
(with the current development release, you can choose to place the taskbar on the left/right of the dock or before/after the first launcher and mix plug-ins and launchers (currently you can't choose to place it on the middle or on a specific position but fabounet will try to fix that ) |

you have 2 choices:
- a separated taskbar
- or a taskbar that is mixed with launchers, and only windows that don't have a launcher will get a new icon
which one do you want ?
then, you can choose where to place the new icons, separators will be automatically inserted.
I think you can achieve what you want with the 3.0, but also with the current stable (2.4), although it's easier with the 3.0. |
