Hey
I don't know if it is specific to the Gmail applet nor why, but after i put my computer to sleep, the applet's not responding. It wakes up seemingly some time after, and the event input (click on icon etc.) is queued and processed some time after. Whilst the applet is sleeping its own right-click options are unavailable.
Is this known?
Cheers,
B. |

Hello,
You can check with dbus-monitor if your signals are sent or not. I don't think it's a bug with Cairo-Dock but maybe DBus. |

They must be sent since they take effect only a minute or so after. |

Yes but can you check if this signal is sent immediately or only a minute or so after? But I guess it's a problem with DBus |

is the applet process still alive ? (you can see your applet with a ps -ef | grep cairo)
any messages in the terminal ?
maybe the applet is stuck somewhere and doesn't come back into the main loop to get the Dbus signals ?
but I don't see the link with the hibernation, so I would say like Matttbe. |

So i am having this problem right now and dbus-monitor shows:
signal sender=:1.39 -> dest=(null destination) serial=2784 path=/org/cairodock/CairoDock/Gmail; interface=org.cairodock.CairoDock.applet; member=on_click
int32 256
when clicking on the gmail applet icon.
Custom menu items are not showing either. |

so the dock is sending the correct Dbus signals, but noone is receiving them
is the applet process running (ps -ef) ? if so, then it's probably a Dbus daemon problem. |
