CD - BZR - Natty Classic - Nvidia GT220 (latest xorg-edgers)
After the latest Compiz update (Natty proposed) the Dock will no longer focus with an open window (it stays hidden under the window). This is a major problem that makes the dock almost unusable for all practical purposes.
No widget layer with the CD applets and the Show Desktop app doesn't work when the widget layer is activated in Compiz. I can (compiz --replace) and the widget layer and show desktop works as it should untill reload or reboot.
If you click on Community Site while in the configuration menu it opens up the browsers homepage instead of redirecting to the Glx-Dock site.
Flashing help menu's still persist while in the configuration menu on mouseover.

you can set up the focus steal prevention in the ccsm of Compiz.

I'm not on Natty, maybe Matttbe can confirm these bugs and provide some solutions ?

I'm on Oneiric and I don't have this bug with compiz... But if you have this bug because you're using this version of Compiz, please report it to compiz devs on Launchpad! (don't hesitate to downgrade your compiz packages to confirm that it's a bug in Compiz)

And I don't have the bug with the Community Site button, it's strange

Mattbe I'm running Natty Classic because Unity was unusable and full of problems.Certainly hope things are better when they release Oneiric.
The community site problem has been present since the first release of Natty as well as the flashing help screens. CD with Compiz has never worked correctly since Natty first came out.I'm just trying to help and let you know what is going on with Natty in the real world. It is probably the worst Ubuntu release in a long time but that is no consolation for new users that try and use the dock with it. I'm still running 10.10 as a primary op system because of these problems and the fact that the dock is unusable in Natty.I've set focus override in CCSM to off with no success, tried ALL of the available Nvidia drivers to no avail. As far as loading the previous version of Compiz it wasn't working correctly either. The widget bug has already been reported to the devs along with enough stuff to keep those guys busy for a couple of years. I guess what I'm trying to say is that over the past year or so I've watched the dock go from a crude beginning to a really great addition to the desktop and now it seems to be going backwards. Sorry for the vent wish you all the best in getting things straightened out.

Yes thank you for these bugs reports but this is not easy to know what's wrong (or which application has a bug). In fact, your bugs can be due to Compiz or even gvfs (community site) or your video drivers...

So can you confirm that you only have these bugs on Natty? Maybe a wrong installation??? (did you install Natty on Beta or before?) But it's strange...
Or wrong parameters? Can you try to reproduce this bug in a guest-session?

if you have a 10.10, the best is to try to reproduce these bugs (with the same version of Cairo-Dock on both)
if they don't occur, then we probably can't do much about it
I really think that all of your problems (except the browser) are due to Compiz.

I'm using dual boot 10.10 and 11.04 with the same version of the dock with no problems in 10.10. I gave up and deleted the Natty partition and will reload it and the dock when I get the time but don't expect much unless something changes in Compiz or CD. Other than the dock problems Natty is getting to be a fairly stable platform with the updates and latest Nvidia drivers. The Compiz functions seem to be working with all of the other apps (at least the ones I have tried) including the Widget layer with the Python apps (Screenlets) so I don't know what to tell you.
