Is there any way to get a dockbarx applet? or simply convert the AWN one? |

I, the DockbarX developer, wouldn't mind to maintain a cairo-dock applet as well as the AWN and gnome-panel applets I maintain right now. I can't find any info on how you make a cairo applet in python that contains something else than a cairo icon (like a gtk Hbox in this case), though.

hmm, what would be the point to this ?
Cairo-Dock already has a taskbar. |

Yes but it can be interesting to have some feature of DockbarX like windows previews, etc. |

Yes but I think it's more something like Windows7 taskbar. |

then we can implement it I don't see the point to delegate the taskbar to a third party, especially since our taskbar is tightly integrated into the dock (with launchers and applets).
and a GTK HBox will certainely not fit very well inside an animated dock |

It seems that AWN and gnome-panel projects are no longer maintained now. Feel free to contact dockbarX devs in order to know if they want to port this plugin to Cairo-Dock |

I think it's the custom menu (not made with the default GTK theme or not with GTK at all) and the window preview (it's possible to have this feature by enabling a Compiz plugin). (and I think it also have a view a bit like Windows 7 bar) |
