Hi
I read the wiki and I think I found a bug (or lack of functionality?)
The problem is with RSSreader applet and when I try to subscribe feeds. Some feeds are subscribed correctly, some not. For example, there is a Estonian news portal ERR and their feed is located in
http://uudised.err.ee/uudised_rss.php
The applet responds with: invalid data (invalid RSS/Atom feed)
The feed URL is correct and is working with other feed readers. The feed is also completely valid:
http://validator.w3.org/feed/check.cgi?url=http%3A%2F%2Fuudised.err.ee%2Fuudised_rss.php
My system:
The version of Cairo-Dock 2.1.3-10-lucid
GNU/Linux distribution Ubuntu 10.04 32bit desktop
Window manager compiz 0.8.4, metacity 2.30.1
Desktop Environment Gnome 2.30.2
Any ideas? |

do you think it has to do with the alphabet ? (do you have this problem with other feeds using cyrillic characters for instance ?) |

No, I don't think it's something to do with the alphabet (sorry, if my thought is wrong). Estonians are using classical latin alphabet with some special characters, and not cyrillic. And in the feed URL, there is no special characters used.
Even so, I hope the dock and applets are using UTF8 character encoding to avoid such obscure bugs (again sorry, if my thought is wrong, I'm not very technical:) |

Also, I upgraded the dock to the latest version 2.2.0. Still no changes. |

yep it uses UTF-8
I don't have more clue for now, I'll check this feed and report any further idea/patch |

(Message added on the task #134)
this is fixed (the feed here was in RDF format, so I've added support for this format). |
