Hi! I'm using weekly version with OpenGl on Ubuntu 10.04. DE is Gnome with Compiz.
On the main-dock I have a sub-dock with a luncher (among the others) for Synaptic. The first time Synpatic is launched, requires a password, subsequently launches of the program, in a certain period of time, don't.
Normally when I launch Synaptic the sub-dock disappears when I click on the icon, but when the program requires a password the sub-dock stay on the screen, I have to click somewhere to make it disappear. |

yes I use arcoiris view, but I found the same problem with panel view.
Actually I have to refine what I said. The sub-dock disappears if I move quickly the mouse pointer out from the sub-dock area, before the password request appears on the screen.
If the mouse pointer is in the sub-dock area when the password window appears, the sub-dock remain on the screen. |

I guess the password window steals the mouse events from all other windows, including the dock.
I don't see an immediate workaround, but I'll think of it, thanks  |
