I have been having a similar issues for a long time. I reported at some point but never saw an improvement...then again I did not pursue it either
in my case it happens when I switch back in my account from another account
it happens mainly for a box which contains my favorites icons. It also happen for the compiz icon.
Normally and opening the box config menu and apply fixes the problem
I also have an Nvidia |

We can find the functions used on the file src/gldit/cairo-dock-draw-opengl.c after: if (g_openglConfig.iFboId != 0)
So it's the functions cairo_dock_begin_draw_icon and cairo_dock_end_draw_icon |

I have mentioned this problem a while back with 2.1.
With 2.2 most of the icons got fixed for me, only the MusicPlayer applet gets all white (white square). I don't have the latest nvidia drivers, they are dated about Dec 09.
There is a thread on this problem somewhere else and fab thought it was nvidia's problem. But when I saw with 2.2 most of it got fixed, I guess there is a possibility to fix it within CD. |

matttbe : It's just because pbuffer functions have been replaced by fbo functions ;)
But it didn't fix all of it? Or maybe now with recent beta all functions are fbo? |

Argh I forgot. I can't remember my username from work I have to wait tonight and I will confirm it.
But matttbe, you said CD now uses a different way of handling something, it fixed all icons for me but MusicPlayer. Is MP using that new way of handling things or not yet? |
