Hello everybody,
I've just installed Cairo-dock, and it works almost out-of-the-box, but I'm having some trouble with the "Mix applis and launchers" option. For some launchers it still generates the additional icons when executed:
-Mozilla Thunderbird
-Prism shortcuts to a webpage (the command is "/opt/firefox/firefox" -app "~/.mozilla/firefox/l39v2sp0.default/extensions/refractor@developer.mozilla.org/prism/application.ini" -override "~/.webapps/gmail@prism.app/override.ini" -webapp gmail@prism.app, for example).
Any idea about what is the problem?
My version is 2.0.9-karmic1 running on Ubuntu Karmic.
Thank you. |

first of all consider upgrading to the current stable version
then about your problem, you have to fill the class of the launcher for tuhnderbird ("thunderbird-bin" I think) in the launcher's config panel. |

Great, it's fixed! But now I have a new doubt... As I said, I have several shortcuts (Gmail, Google Reader) defined with Prism, so they are opened in separated windows of a very light version of Firefox. But the "class" is the same for both of them (Prism). So if I open Gmail, for example, both icons get the "launched" indicator, and I cannot open a Reader instance...
Any idea? Thank you! |

doesn't Prism have tabs ?
in your case you may want to prevent the other launchers to mix with the application (in the launcher's config), so that you don't have to shift+click to launch them.
there is no other rule than the class to identify a program. |
