Hi everybody,
I just recently installed KDE4.3 and tried to see if CD worked properly on it, since on previous versions some things like desktop changing when clicking on an open app didn't work.
To my surprise, it did work, and perfectly (one of the main reasons why I'm now currently using KDE4). However, I'm experiencing a strange flicker every time I move my mouse to the dock and the zoom animation starts.
More or less, I see a flicker of the dock exactly above the dock and tilted some pixels to the left, for a fraction of a second before it disappears. I also see the dock itself flicker when it zooms out back to normal (but I see no ghost copy of the dock here).
Besides this, the dock works flawlessly (of course some things like the shortcuts plugins which relies on GNOME's bookmarks doesn't work, but I didn't expect it to). Does anybody know which may be causing the problem?
Thanks in advance!

Hi Godlikearg,
It can be easily for us if you post some screenshots (on uppix.net, minibulle.com, etc.) or a screencast (videobin.org, etc.)
And also what's your version (of Cairo-Dock) and if you use it with or without OpenGL (and with which graphic card). |

I think it's the similar problem than with Metacity
you may report this bug at KDE's dev site, because I think it's probably a bug in Kwin (since it doesn't ocur with Compiz). |

Sorry, I'm using an SVN Cairo-Dock, compiled ~2 weeks ago, using OpenGL with an Nvidia card.
fab, if this is indeed a KWin problem, do we have any hopes of it being fixed? I don't know, I tend to relate KDE guys with QT guys and I think of the SMplayer/VLC/Skype transparency bug =(
I'll try to record a video of it. Thx! |

lol, indeed we can wonder !
but usually devs don't like so much to have opened bugs on their software, so I think it's useful to report bugs
moreover, maybe they have a better explanation than mine |
