Hi,
Cairo dock version 2.0.8
Ubuntu 9.04
Intel graphic card X3100
I initially had a black background around the dock but got rid of it by ticking the option "Emulates composition with fake transparency" in system settings and got rid of it from the dock.
My problem is that the background persists around two applets that are detached from the dock. I have two clocks showing two diff timings and are detached from the dock and they still have this ugly background.....can anybody help please? Any ideas? |

Yes, check our wiki => Recurrent problems
It's a "fake transparency" like the Gnome pannel... You have to set Cairo-Dock to be always on the background.
But in fact these Intel drivers on Jaunty aren't yet ready for OpenGL... So you can use Cairo-Dock with the Cairo backend meanwhile to have a good driver like nVidia |

So what do you suggest I do? Wait for better drivers? There is no way to work around this issue? |
