I can merge all your po files, but you'll have to check it after, just in case
so you can send it to fabounet /at/ berlios /dot/ de, but I'm not here this WE. |

Hi Mav
I have send you the files.
My experiences with Launchpad are double, most of the time the translating is okay but sometimes it´s very bad.
Sometimes translators on Launchpad don´t look at the earlier translations and use the wrong words and sometimes you can tell they don´t use the programms at all.

yes translating can be tricky but I see that in Launchpad you can review and correct if needed
so I guess if you see an error you should be able to improve it. |

I´m nearly finished with the large plug-ins file , but I still need a little help.
What do the words/sentences below mean ?
1) Match case (can be found in the Scooby-Do file)
2) Pack icons rather horizontally than vertically ? > ´Pack´ like pack your suitcase ?
3) comment the following group when you will want to make your applet detachable.\n
- [gtk-convert]\n
[Desklet]\n
- i[48;256] Desklet's dimension (width x height) :\n
-
4) comment the following group when you will want to make your applet detachable.\n
- [gtk-convert]\n
[Desklet]\n
j+[48;512] Desklet's dimension (width x height) :
In 3 and 4, What does comment mean ?
5) Number of points on the grid in one direction :
6) Grid
In 5 and 6 what does Grid mean, can somebody explain and/or give me another word ?
7) How smooth is the movement ? > What does smooth and movement mean, the movement of what is ment here ?
You need OpenGL for this option. Set it to 0 to not use it, 1 means the movement is continue. > What movement is ment here ?
9) pouic > what does pouic mean ? |

1/ it means that if you write CaiRo-Dock it will onyl match that exact word and not cairo-dock because the letter case (majuscule/miniscule) are not the same
2/ It think it is pack as in to stack (to pile) |

3 and 4 are some trash, I thought they were removed automatically when I remove them from the .pot.
need to clean the .po then
2 : pack = organize (in systray)
grid = a grid of points (n x m points)
smooth = fluid animation (in clock for example, when the seconds needle moves smoothly (requires OpenGL))
you can skip pouic |

by the way Rob, you wanted to know from which plug-in a sentence comes from.
but when you watch at the .po file, you can see that there is in comment the file it comes from, which gives the applet it comes from. |

Many thanks Rob !
The most important pages are 'Installatie > Via uw distributie' and 'Terugkerende problemen'
To translate a wiki page you have to go to the English (or French) page and click on the 'Translate' button. By clicking on this button you create a link between pages and we can easily switch from one to an other language ! (So please don't click on 'Create' or 'Créer' button )
Thanks for your help ! |

Mattbe, I think I did something wrong
I went to the english wiki and then to Installation and then By distribution and translated the English part to Dutch. I only used the button Translate.
Now you can see the Dutch installation part I translated, if you go through the English (by distribution) or French (par distribution) installation part.
However I can not see the Dutch translation of the installation part if I go through The Dutch (via uw distributie) installation part.
Did I do something wrong? |
