Hi I've installed Cairo Dock 2.0.3 on my Ubuntu 9.04. It is very nice, I love it.
But I found one problem, I would like to have on my dock 5 launchers to open differents directory via Nautilus, the equivalent of a "Place" launcher in Ubuntu.
The quick browse applet doesn't work for me because it open a curtain window with the contents of the directory (I' prefer a standar Nautilus window) and I didn' t understand how to have 5 on the dock.
So I found the solution to make 5 launchers on the dock, with the command "nautilus /dir/path/to/open", it works fine except that I can open only one window at a time, if I have a window opened and click on another the first one get closed and more messes.
To open more windows after the first one I have to use the "Launch new" option. that is not very useful.
Any option to open as many windows as I want with just one click?

Use "SHIFT + Left clic" to open another window ... and you can switch between the windows with scroll up/down on the launcher

EDIT : Oups ! For the scroll up/down, I think it's not working anymore -> Fab ???

Ok, thank you very much for the quick answer, it works
But now I found a funny trick that I can' t understand.
the launchers point to 5 different folders, I can open as many windows I want even of the same folder, except for one of them.
This launcher points to "/home/luca/foto", if I open it as first ok, if I open it as second or more it only opens a balloon with the name of the other folders opened is the only that does that.
Why?

I tried to delete and redo the launchers, but has the same behaviour

Sorry, to be more exact the balloon appears only starting from the third window, I mean i is the first to be opened ok, if is the second ok, if is the third or more only the balloon appears

to have several times the same applet in your dock :
activate it once, and then, right click on the applet's icon -> instanciate one more time.
then configure this new instance the way you want

Note that you could also use Shortcuts, that can display the Nautilus bookmarks in a sub-dock

If yo want to have many times the same launcher, I suggest you to set the class (under "extra parameters" in the launcher config) to anything (like abcdefg), so that they don't all take the application indicator.

I don't understand this ballon bug, it seems quite funny

http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/8061/pantallazox.jpg

this is the dock, the first icon on the left is Audacious, the following 5 icons are launchers I made manually, inside I put the command "nautilus /path/to/dir".
As nochka85 said I can launch them using the SHIFT+LeftButton, not very comfortable but it works.
Now you gave me the right solution: I wrote something in the extra param -> class of each launcher and I can launch them all toghether. Thanks a lot.

Any way just for your use you can see in the screenshto the baloon I mentioned before. If you want more details please tell me.

Thank you so much again

oh, you mean that ballon
it's a sub-dock
and it's here because in your config, applis and launchers are mixed togather.
the little trick I made you do also resolve this "problem"
