I have a Asus EEE PC 901 netbook with the screen resolution 1024x600 pixels. My base OS is Ubuntu 9.04 (installed from netbook remix, but reverted to classic GUI).
I installed cairo-dock 2.0rc5 and installed the dock vertically to the left of screen. One problem I found was that the labels were positioned so that the first 2-3 characters were cut off. See a screenshot in http://drop.io/vsnohox/asset/cairo-labels-png
This seems to be a theme issue. Thanks to coz for debugging this in IRC and providing me with a theme that works. |

Ha, I found something interesting. Coz provided me with a theme (Chrome Round) that did not have this issue. However, it uses the 3D view by default. If I change that to default view, the problem exhibits itself -- the first couple of letters of labels are cut off.
So, some kind of spacing issue here, the 3D view has more space in the vertical position between the screen edge and the icons than the default view. |
