Bonjour,
Well, I titled this post as "Failed theme" because I have spend three weeks creating , saving, and packing this theme and each time I have someone test it, it fails.. I cannot get the paths on my system removed from the pacakge and I have talked with others that have created themes and followed their instructions but still it fails.

If anyone has any more informations about creating ,saving, and packing a theme please let me know.

Coz what's the problem exactly ?
did you put the launcher's icons with the .desktop files into the "launchers" folder ?
and all other stuff into the theme path ?

specify the icons' name with just their names, not the complete path. The extension (.svg/.png/...) is not useful.
also check that you added the theme's path to the list of paths where the dock should search its images (in the "Icons" tab, in the end)
hope you can fix it, your theme seems really pretty !

Hi Coz

I thought you had fixed the pat issue... I certainly could remove your path when I tested it...

It must be as Fabounet say...may be you miss the theme path (Fabounet what is the name of the variable for it?)

Hey guys,
fabounet , yes I did all of that and yet, when I have someone test it, it fails because somehow the path on my system is still there.
I create the theme, right click each launcher , remove the path and leave only the icon name with no .svg I then save the theme and , restart cairo dock after having deleted the saved theme in cairo dock and installing my theme and it works fine here and the launcers are pointing to the luncerh folder where the icons are, but then if someone tests it they show up again.
So what I could do is offer the icons sets and have someone fnish it off, however paradoxxx.zero, took my package and sent it back hoping it its fixed but I would need someone else to test this so here is the link for the theme that paradoxxx.zero, edited.....

Hopefully this one works!
ppmt yeah I thought it was fixed also but the paths keep showing up. I dont understand it yet but I could very well be doing something wrong.
I think at some point I will figure this out! then I will upload the other two themes I am working on

nothing ! nothing seems wrong, the theme works perfectly here (icons, plug-ins, etc)
very nice design, love it !
just 1 comment : dialog bubbles are not easily visible, maybe you could try to set up their look differently ?
also appli indicators and drop indicators are the default ones, I was wondering if it was on purpose or if you didn't make some yet.

I didnt realize the dialog bubbles had changed from default sorry about that. Might be another glitch or maybe paradoxxx.zero changed them.. not sure. I will double check that and upload a revised pacakge

The application indicator I forgot to include it is the default but purple in color. Sorry about that

And I just dont understand what was wrong before. Everyone who tried it said it was not working, or compiz fusion crashed with this theme running. I just couldnt figure it out

they just didn't want to admit this theme is really nice
if you have an idea for appli indicators and drop indicators it would be nice (to personnalize the theme the more possible)

I am testing again coz...I don't have Compiz in Vmware so I don't about the crash...

But I can confirm that that I had no problem with the icons...it found them all

Hey fabounet and ppmt,
thanks , I never considered that I will also try more personalization with it also.
I will try to fix this as best i can. Unless something is wrong with my system somehow..
I just tried adding another subdock to the theme and removing paths and the icons refuse to show, so something may well be wrong with my approach or my system but i will keep trying.

thanks guys

coz
